"To Train Up a Child" authors Michael and Debi Pearl to speak at Duggar family camp

The Duggar Family of "19 Kids and Counting" and "Counting On" have raised a lot of hackles with their militaristic parenting methods. But the reality TV family is cotton candy compared to "spare the rod" disciplinary gurus Michael and Debi Pearl, who wrote "To Train Up a Child." As the nation reels from the discovery of the 13 tortured Turpin kids, the reality television, the Duggars are again allying themselves with child-beating advocate Pearls whose book has been linked to the deaths of children. It may very well have triggered the Turpins' acts of cruel and unusual punishment. Christians and especially Christian parents should aware what the Pearls really teach as "Biblical" parenting.
